Go Fish Fridays!

Mark your calendar for the first Friday of each month from July through November. Take the bait and Go Fishing with us. Board the Trolley at 1:00 pm at the Arts Center and have the O-fish-al Fishing Guide tour you around town to enjoy all of the artistic fish. Your Guide will have fish tales about the construction, creation and installation of the fish as well as interesting fish facts to share. It’s a "fin-tastic" opportunity to enjoy our fish and get "Hooked on the Arts". The $5 fee includes a light snack and a 30% off coupon towards fish merchandise. Call 224-8811 for reservations.

Fish Fry at The Farmers Market

Whether you catch and release in hot grease or grill and bake, there is more than one way to cook a fish, as this event proves it. Watch chefs from some of our city’s best restaurants put their culinary creations to the test; then sample the dishes and vote for your favorite. Cook-off tasting tickets are $5 with proceeds benefiting the Warehouse Project.

Thursday, September 2nd at 6 pm.

Reel Art Activities

You don’t need a fishin’ pole to catch these art activities, but a paint brush may help. Sign up to be a Reel Artist and join us for various workshops designed to celebrate the "Fish out of Water, Hooked on the Arts" public art project. Pre-registration is required, please call the Arts Center to sign up!

-Reel Photo Focus

It is a great concept involving the viewer looking through a camera lens at a fishing scene. Join Julie as we visit several fish-sites downtown and take digital photos of you and your favorite fish. We will return to the Arts Center to develop our photos using the computer and decorate frames in fish themes.

-Famous Fish Artists
